Blum shingle taps execs

Underwood, Falbo flower at Par-based shingle

Jason Blum has tapped Tracy Underwood as exec VP and Michael Falbo as creative exec at Blumhouse, his Paramount-based shingle.

Underwood comes from Warner-based John Wells Prods., where she worked as senior VP and recently produced “Nearing Grace,” a coming-of-age indie directed by Rick Rosenthal and written by Jacob Aaron Estes. She also was associate producer on “White Oleander” and worked on all of Wells’ feature projects, including “Doom” and “A Tale of Two Teds.”

Before working with Wells, she was a lit manager with Alan Greenspan’s International Arts Entertainment.

Falbo, who has been working at Paramount, began his career as a journalist and then worked as an assistant at Endeavor.

Blumhouse is in production on “Griffin & Phoenix” and in post-production on “The Darwin Awards” and “Graduation.”

Before signing his three-year deal with Par in June, Blum had an overall deal with HBO, for whom he produced “Hysterical Blindness” and “The Fever.”
