Austin Film Society expanding fund

Austin Film Society will expand its Texas Filmmakers’ Production Fund by $5,000, bringing the total amount of grant money it will distribute to Texas-based filmmakers to $75,000.

The fund will award grants ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 in cash, up to $5,000 in Kodak film stock, and up to $1,000 in videotape stock to regionally produced projects. The fund annually gives awards to emerging film and video artists in Texas. AFS has awarded $473,000 to more than 166 film and video projects.
