PRODUCTION INCENTIVES:
Foreign filmmakers can tap the VAT refund, which can equal as much as 19% and take advantage of no fringe payments (payroll taxes, insurance, social security taxes, etc.) on crews and actors. Czech Republic is a signatory of the European Convention on Cinematic Co-production, making British co-productions eligible for sale and lease-back. The Ministry of Culture invests CZK60 million ($2.5 million) in Czech films annually through the State Fund for the Support and Development of Czech Cinematography. Access www.mkcr.cz.

PRODUCTION INCENTIVES:
AudioVizia Fund distributed by the Ministry of Culture, with $3 million for films with a Slovak producer attached. Films must already have other funding in place. Grants up to 50% of the cost, with a top of $500,000. Access www.culture.gov.sk.
