MUSCLING IN ON MATURE AUDS

Despite the release of three wide R pics over the next two frames, including this weekend’s ‘Assault on Precinct 13,’ don’t expect R-rated films to dominate the January box office. PG-13 pics have ruled January since 2001, when ‘Cast Away’ and ‘What Women Want’ led the pack; ‘The Lord of the Rings’ hit in 2002.
