Moviefone poll puts ‘Passion’ at the top

Depp, Roberts voted favs for acting prizes

It may not have a big prize to look forward to at the Oscars, but “The Passion of the Christ” keeps cleaning up with the public.

Mel Gibson’s smash hit won best picture in the 10th Annual Moviefone Moviegoer poll , based on the votes of millions of AOL and Moviefone.com users.

Kudo comes after “Passion” won for best drama at the People’s Choice Awards.

Moviefone voters gave their Best Actor prize to Johnny Depp for “Finding Neverland” while Best Actress went to Julia Roberts for “Closer.”

Supporting actor and actress kudos went to Morgan Freeman and Emma Watson for “Million Dollar Baby” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” respectively.

Award for Best Indie Film went to Fox Searchlight’s “Napoleon Dynamite.”

Emmy Rossum was picked “Hottest Rising Star” for her roles in “Phantom of the Opera” and “The Day After Tomorrow.” Best Family Film was “Shrek 2.”

The movie fan poll also included less traditional categories. Sexiest Kiss went to Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst for “Spider-Man 2.” The reveal of Spider-Man’s identity to subway patrons was named the year’s “Greatest Moment.”
