Nicktoons, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour digital home for animation, has acquired Xilam Animation’s “Shuriken School.”
Net has purchased 26 half-hours that will premiere in 2006. Xilam produced the series based on an original idea from Zinkia Entertainment.
Toon follows the adventures of 10-year-old Eizan Kaburagi in his first year at the ninja school Shuriken, where kids learn to melt into walls, fly over rooftops and disappear in clouds of smoke.
Action takes place in the fictional town of Tokirohama, a melting pot of Eastern and Western culture.
Paris-based Xilam is the creator, producer and distributor of animated content, both 2D and 3D CGI, for TV, film and videogame formats. Credits include “Oggy and the Cockroaches,” “Ratz,” “The New Adventures of Lucky Luke” and “Space Goofs.”
