ThinkFilm adds Kids unit to family

Co. targets children with homevideo, DVD product

TORONTO — Canuck distributor ThinkFilm is launching ThinkFilm Kids to widen its customer base.

The specialty unit will focus on learning and educational product for the homevideo and DVD market aimed at kids up to age 9 and their families.

Its first series will be “Braincandy,” an “active play” title for tykes 9 months to 5 years, and “My First Day,” a series of firsts for kids starring Buddy Bear.

ThinkFilm topper Jeff Sackman said the company plans to keep expanding the division and is on the look-out for more acquisitions.
