Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has pegged Claire Mullaly as director of worldwide publicity.
Mullaly will manage public relations activities for SPHE as well as MGM Home Entertainment releases, with a focus on MGM’s library. She will also supervise corporate communications including Sony’s next-generation DVD initiatives like its Blu-ray format.
She’ll report to worldwide publicity senior VP Fritz Friedman.
Previously, Mullaly developed strategy and planning for digital entertainment technology groups such as AMD, Warner Home Video, Ascent Media Group and MySpace.com. She also provided communication strategies for the Blu-ray Disk Founders Group. While working for Cohn & Wolfe, Mullaly worked with the Digital Entertainment Group and DVD Forum, and also served as account manager for the Digital Video Compression Center.
