Turner pacts with Fox TV

Scribe to pen second hourlong project for net

HOLLYWOOD — Feature scribe Sheldon Turner (“The Longest Yard”) has snagged a blind script deal from 20th Century Fox TV.

Turner last year wrote an hourlong pilot script for 20th and John Woo’s Lion Rock about the world of gunrunning. Project was set up at Fox for consideration as a 2004 drama pilot.

New deal calls for Turner to develop another hourlong project for Fox. Scribe said he’s enjoyed working with the studio in recent months.

“Patrick Moran and the folks at 20th have been wonderfully supportive and as a writer that’s all you can ask for,” he said.

Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison and MTV Films are producing “The Longest Yard” for Paramount; Turner wrote the first draft of the project. In addition, MGM recently bought Turner’s spec “Scrawl,” a thriller being produced by Turner and Jennifer Klein’s Apartment 3B shingle.
