HOLLYWOOD — Entertainment industry columnist Alex Ben Block will receive the 2004 Journalism Award from the Caucus of Television Producers, Writers and Directors at its annual dinner on Jan. 13.
Block is the editor and weekly columnist for Television Week magazine. He also appears on National Public Radio with his weekly “Call Sheet.”
Before joining Television Week magazine, Block worked at Forbes Magazine, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and as the editor of the Hollywood Reporter.
The Journalism Award is meant to honor those who consistently excel in coverage of the television industry.
Previous recipients include Variety’s Army Archerd and Brian Lowry.
The 22nd Annual Caucus Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
