Finland’s Digita gets pay channels

Finland’s two-year-old digital terrestrial television network Digita, which has so far provided only free TV channels, will include three Canal Plus pay channels.

Nordic Canal Plus TV distributor, Canal Digital, has signed an agreement with Digita, which allows the 300,000 Finnish households with digital decoders to access Canal Plus, Canal Plus Yellow and Canal Plus Blue.

Now a fully owned subsidiary of Norwegian telco Telenor, Canal Digital is received by more than 2.6 million Nordic households. Canal Plus services 700,000 household subscribers in the Nordic countries by satellite, cable and digital networks.
