‘CSI: Miami’ rocks for CBS

Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

CBS captured the first Monday of the November sweep in all key ratings categories thanks to season-high scores for a special 90-minute episode of “CSI: Miami,” according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

“CSI: Miami” (8.0/20 in adults 18-49, 21.9 million viewers overall) was the night’s No. 1 program and delivered its best-ever November sweep perf. The Eye also did well with “Two and a Half Men” in a special 9 o’clock slot (5.5/13 in adults 18-49, 16.3 million viewers overall).

Over at NBC, the 100th episode of “Fear Factor” established season highs (5.2/13 in adults 18-49, 12.5 million viewers overall), and lead-out “Las Vegas” concluded its crossover event with “Crossing Jordan” with its best results of the season as well (5.7/13 in adults 18-49, 14.6 million viewers overall). The debut of “The $25 Million Dollar Hoax” didn’t do much at 10 (3.3/8 in adults 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall).

Fox was up a bit week-to-week with its reality combo of “Trading Spouses” (3.6/9 in adults 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall) and “The Swan” (3.2/7 in adults 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall).

Reliable numbers weren’t available for ABC’s live “Monday Night Football,” but the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts looks to be slightly below the franchise’s season averages.

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 6.1/15; ABC, 5.0/12; NBC, 4.7/12; Fox, 3.4/8; WB, 1.6/4; UPN, 1.5/4.

In total viewers: CBS, 17.2 million; ABC, 13.5 million; NBC, 11.4 million; Fox, 7.6 million; WB, 4.1 million; UPN, 3.5 million.
