ATAS establishes $10K scholarship

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and its Children’s Programming Peer Group has established the Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship in honor of the creator and longtime host of “Mister Rogers Neighborhood.” The $10,000 annual scholarship was announced during the Acad’s “A Tribute to Fred Rogers” event.

Scholarship will support an undergraduate or grad student studying children’s media and childhood education or a recent college grad pursuing a career in chil-dren’s media. First scholarship will be awarded in the fall.
