ABC finds Wednesday aud

Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

ABC captured the first Wednesday of the November sweep behind another big perf from “Lost” and solid scores by both “Wife Swap” and “The Bachelor,” according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

“Lost” (6.7/18 in adults 18-49, 18.2 million viewers overall) was again the night’s top-rated show, and “The Bachelor” (4.1/10 in adults 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall) picked up as it nears this cycle’s conclusion. In the 10 o’clock hour, “Wife Swap” (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) remains a nice performer in a tough hour.

CBS placed second, led by “CSI: NY” (6.0/15 in adults 18-49, 15.1 million viewers overall), which again defeated NBC’s “Law & Order” (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 15.2 million viewers overall) in key demos although the Peacock vet edged out the Eye rookie in total viewers.

NBC’s “West Wing” (4.5/11 in adults 18-49, 15.2 million viewers overall) again looked solid, in a virtual tie for the 18-49 lead in the 9 o’clock hour with CBS comedies “King of Queens” (4.9/12 in adults 18-49, 13 million viewers overall) and “Center of the Universe” (4.2/10 in adults 18-49, 11.3 million viewers overall).

Fox’s lineup improved week-to-week, with “Nanny 911” (4.0/10 in adults 18-49, 8.6 million viewers overall) competitive from 9 to 10.

Prelim 18-49 averages for the night: ABC, 5.2/13; CBS, 4.3/11; NBC, 3.8/10; Fox, 3.6/9; UPN, 2/5; WB, 1.7/4.

In total viewers, ABC led with 13.4 million.
