'Big' Leger piece graces Circus Theater

Joop van den Ende, billionaire philanthropist and owner of theatrical company Stage Holding, donated Fernand Leger’s famed sculpture “The Big Walking Flower” to the the Hague on May 15. The sculpture now graces the square in front of the Fortis Circus Theater. Van den Ende is known for combining art exhibits with his musical entertainment; he unveiled a South African art collection when “The Lion King” opened at the theater in April.
