Treva Young died October 6 of natural causes in Medford, Oregon. She was 95.
Born in Texas, at age 25, she answered an ad for a magician’s assistant for “Mel-Roy,” (aka Wilbert W. Holley) an early radio mentalist with a traveling illusion show. She quickly became an adept assistant, performing on-stage with Mel-Roy, and they later married.
They performed under canvas as well as for major theater chains such as Pantages, Fox and Orpheum.
After selling the show, they settled in Los Angeles.
She is survived by a daughter, a son, a sister, a brother and a grandson.
Donations may be made to the National Asthma Foundation.
