Joe Mack, retired president of Chicago-based Filmack Studios, died November 10 of complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was 85.
Mack spent his career producing film trailers and on-screen cinema advertising for indoor and outdoor motion picture exhibitors.
He attended all National Association of Theater Owners conventions for many years and served as a trustee of local 780 of IATSE health and welfare funds.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edythe; two daughters; a son, Robbie, president of Filmack Studios; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
