Lubin rejoins William Morris

Kassell, Troche, Festinger among clients to follow agent

NEW YORK — Mike Lubin, who last month exited the Gersh Agency, has rejoined the motion picture literary department of the William Morris Agency in New York, his previous home before moving to Gersh four years ago.

Former Gersh clients who followed Lubin to WMA include “The Woodsman” writer-director Nicole Kassell, “Neverland” screenwriter David Magee, Josh Shelov (“Hooligans”), Rose Troche (“The L Word”), Alan Taylor (“The Sopranos”), Rob Festinger (“In the Bedroom”) and Debra Granik (“Down to the Bone”).

At Gersh, Lubin was part of the team that represented “The Station Agent” writer-director Tom McCarthy and “Super Size Me” filmmaker Morgan Spurlock.

“I’m indebted to David Lonner, Dave Wirtschafter and Jim Wyatt at William Morris for giving me the opportunity to come home to the agency where I grew up,” Lubin told Daily Variety.

Lubin began his agency career in 1992 as an assistant in the motion picture department at WMA in Los Angeles, transferring to the Gotham lit department two years later. He joined Gersh in 2000. At the time of his departure, he was co-head of the literary department in New York and Los Angeles with Richard Arlook.

At WMA, Lubin will report to Danny Greenberg.
