MADRID — Rodrigo Ruiz-Tarazona has been tapped as general manager of Madrid Film Lab, the largest film and post operation company in Spain. He replaces Jose Luis Acha, who joined the company at the end of 2003.
Ruiz-Tarazona will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the lab and will report to Technicolor exec Giuseppe Filardi.
Ruiz-Tarazona, a marketing and communications specialist, worked for Kodak in Spain and the U.S. for more than ten years as director general of Kodak’s Professional Film Division in Spain and Portugal.
The appointment comes a month after post-production conglom Thomson concluded the purchase of Madrid Film Lab through its Technicolor brand (Daily Variety May 10, 2004).
Madrid Film Lab has facilities in Madrid and Barcelona and employs 150 staffers.
