‘Wind’ blows back to Culver Studios

Thesp Jeffreys attends big screen revival

“Gone With the Wind” returned to its native soil, literally, this weekend, when Culver Studios screened a digitally remastered print of the Civil War epic shot on the lot in 1939.

The screening is part of a marketing campaign by the lot’s new owners.

Veteran thesp Anne Jeffreys, who came with her son and his family, was thrilled to get a chance to see it the pic again on the bigscreen, calling it “a monumental film full of history.”
