WB cable arm names new sales VP

DeVitre's responsibilities include skeins, miniseries, specials

LAS VEGAS — Warner Bros. Domestic Cable TV Distribution has hired Mark DeVitre as VP of sales.

DeVitre was most recently senior VP and general manager of the Fox Movie Channel during his 5½-year stint at the Fox Entertainment Group.

At Warner Bros., DeVitre, an attorney, will take responsibility for the sale of TV series, theatrical and TV movies, miniseries and specials to networks in pay TV and basic cable. He reports to Eric Frankel, president of domestic-cable distribution.

Before his stint at the Fox Movie Channel, DeVitre was senior VP of operations for the FX Networks. He started at Fox as VP of business and legal affairs for the Fox Cable Networks.
