NEW YORK — Time Warner announced Monday that its chief spokesman, Edward Adler, has been promoted to exec VP for corporate communications, continuing to report to chairman-CEO Richard Parsons.
Adler was previously a senior VP, a VP and a director of media relations at Time Warner, starting in 1993. Before that, he held various posts at Time and HBO. He’s weathered a number of transformative deals and changes in the executive suite — including Time Warner’s controversial merger with America Online and its negative aftershock and management turmoil.
“Ed’s well-deserved promotion reflects the enhanced role he has assumed as a member of our senior corporate management team. During his long career with our company, Ed has gained a unique perspective and deep understanding of our businesses and their communications needs. As an integral participant in shaping and communicating our business strategy, he has earned the respect of his colleagues throughout Time Warner and our industry,” Parsons said.
