Marc Buhaj has been named vice president, programming and scheduling, for Cartoon Network and its sister station Boomerang, the network announced Wednesday.
Buhaj will be in charge of scheduling, on-air event planning and program operations for the two networks.
Based in Atlanta, Buhaj will report directly to Bob Higgins, senior vice president, programming and development, at Cartoon Network.
Before joining Cartoon Network, Buhaj worked in Hong Kong as executive director of programming and acquisitions for Turner Entertainment Networks Asia. He joined Turner Broadcasting in March 2001 in the Sydney office.
Cartoon Network is seen in 160 countries. Boomerang broadcasts classic cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. television libraries.
