Sharon Levy and Jennifer Decker have been upped to exec VPs at the newly named Stone & Co. Entertainment.
Title replaces the company’s old name, Stone Stanley Entertainment, and reflects the departure earlier this year of co-founder David Stanley. Reality shingle is best known for skeins such as “The Mole,” “The Man Show” and “Shop ’til You Drop.”
As exec VP, Levy — who had been senior VP of development — will oversee all programming production and development, serving as exec producer on all of the company’s skeins. Decker will serve as exec VP of finance, overseeing finance and accounting functions and general fiscal matters.
Also upped at Stone & Co.: Matt Marcus, who will now serve as senior VP of business development and marketing. He’ll report directly to Stone and work on creating and maintaining ancillary businesses for the company, such as DVD releases of skeins such as “Celebrity Mole.”
Despite the title change, “I have no intention of changing the direction of the company,” Stone said, calling Levy’s promotion key to his goal of producing shows that are enjoyable to both watch and make.
“This promotion is long overdue,” he said.
Stone said Decker has helped keep the company “running like a Swiss watch,” while Marcus “has made his department a revenue producer, and I love him for that.”
Other staffers upped at Stone & Co. include:
- Michael Frederick, newly tapped as VP of programming development. He reports to Levy.
- Kevin Bloom, named VP of finance. He reports to Decker.
- Dan Helberg, who replaces the departing David Decker as VP of business and legal affairs.
- Darren Kane, who’ll now act as VP of production.
