Paramount Intl. TV has engineered a deal with BSkyB to produce a version of “Entertainment Tonight” that will focus on British celebrities.
Kicking off on Sky One Jan. 7 at 8 p.m., the weekly hourlong U.K.-centric “ET” will be shot in Hollywood and hosted by Amanda Byram, the British host of Fox Network reality series “The Swan.”
Overseeing the content of the show is Jamie Roberts, Sky One’s head of production and development for U.S. nonscripted programming.
In addition to the specially produced “ET” hour, Par has sold the daily half-hour U.S. edition of “ET” to Sky One, which will strip it the day after it runs in the States beginning Jan. 3.
