NBC U TV cables Rothstein

Exec spent 3 years as a VP, producer for Carter Co.

NBC U TV Studios has hired producer Richard Rothstein to serve as VP of cable programming.

Rothstein will report to senior VP of cable programming Paulo de Oliveira. Studio produces hit cable series “Monk” and “Battlestar Galactica.”

Rothstein was most recently a supervising producer on UPN’s “America’s Next Top Model” and NBC’s hidden-camera show “T.H.E.M.”

Exec spent three years as a VP and producer for the Thomas Carter Co., where he developed and produced longform projects. He was also director of minis and movies at NBC and a veep at Freyda Rothstein Prods.

As a feature film exec at Sovereign Pictures and ITC Prods., Rothstein worked on “The Commitments,” “A Midnight Clear” and “Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael.”
