NEW YORK — NBC Universal TV Distribution has squeezed out Dan Weiss, exec VP of worldwide marketing, and will funnel his duties to three veeps who used to report to him.
The domestic-marketing duties will go to Betsy Bergman and Mary Beth McAdaragh, who will report to Barry Wallach, president of domestic TV distribution for NBC U. In sole charge of international marketing will be Pauline Bohm, and she will report to Belinda Menendez, president of international TV distribution for NBC U.
Weiss’ departure is just another example of the continued extrusion of former Universal execs in favor of the corporate culture of NBC, which swallowed up U in a merger earlier this year.
