Disney Channel has extended “Phil of the Future’s” future, ordering a second season of the series about a 22nd century teen and his family who find themselves trapped in the present day.
Michael Curtis (“Friends”) and Roger S.H. Schulman (“Shrek”) are signing on as exec producers, while Ivan Menchell will co-exec produce.
Production on the second season will begin later this month.
Series, which also airs Saturday mornings on ABC, ranked No. 1 in its Disney Channel timeslot among tweens for the month of October.
