John Mason, a longtime Nevada entertainment attorney, has been appointed counsel at Los Angeles-based Goldring, Hertz & Lichtenstein, bringing his roster of musical clients.
Mason is running for a position as justice of the Supreme Court of Nevada in the state’s upcoming election and decided there would be time and possibly ethical conflicts in representing his clients during the election.
“John understands that our firm is uniquely suited to help high-level clients with their overall career and business strategies, because we view deals from the standpoint of how they can impact a client’s long-term success and career visibility, not merely short-term return,” said Fred Goldring, a founding partner of the law firm.
The clients Mason brings to Goldring, Hertz include Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Travis Tritt, Olivia Newton John and the Univision Music Group.
Goldring, Hertz represents artists including Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Alanis Morrisette, Will Smith and Herbie Hancock.
