HOLLYWOOD — Arenas Entertainment has named former Artisan Pictures exec Amorette Jones president of marketing.
“Jones’ track record and sensibility proves that she can take a film project and deploy an effective campaign across multiple platforms reaching a broad-based audience,” said Arenas CEO Santiago Pozo.
Jones will oversee marketing of theatrical releases and be part of the exec team advising the company on its core businesses of film, management and Latino-oriented marketing.
She was formerly exec VP of worldwide marketing at Artisan, working on campaigns for “The Blair Witch Project,” “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Requiem for a Dream” and “Step Into Liquid.” She was also exec VP at Loud Records/Steve Rifkind Co. and a marketing exec at Universal Pictures.
“The Latino audience is clearly the new frontier in the entertainment industry, and it is extremely satisfying to be at the marketing forefront with Arenas,” she said.
