Grieder back at Nickelodeon

Exec to expand net's brand, business

Nick alum Steve Grieder is returning to the fold as senior VP of Nickelodeon Intl.

Grieder joins from e-commerce company InterActiveCorp (formerly USA Interactive), where he was general manager of the US Travel Network. Previously general manager of Nickelodeon Latin America and a former VP and creative director at Nick, he left the company in 2001.

In his newly created position, Grieder is charged with expanding Nick’s brand and business. He will work closely with MTV Networks Intl. and with the Nickelodeon U.S. units on content, programming and strategic planning issues.

Grieder reports to both Brent Hansen, creative prexy of MTV Network Intl. and prexy-chief exec of MTV Network Europe, and Cyma Zarghami, prexy of Nick U.S.

Before joining Nick Latin America in 1996, Grieder worked for Start TV in Hong Kong. His career began at MTV Networks, where he worked for both MTV and Nickelodeon.
