CANNES — Viewers around the world will be able to phone in their vote for Miss World this year for the first time.Competish organizer Miss World Ltd. and indie producer-distrib TWI have pacted with TV technology firm Red Fig to roll out interactive services over three years. “Miss World: The Final” will be held in China in December. TV auds will get their say on a separate TV special “Miss World: You Decide.” “This is the biggest global vote ever,” said Red Fig CEO Mark Rowland. “We are excited about this year’s event in China because it’s a market where mobile phones are very developed.” Last year the event was sold to 162 countries.
