“The Stones” has been sunk by CBS.
Eye pulled the plug on the midseason laffer Tuesday after airing just three episodes. Skein’s final airing was last week.
CBS had planned to bow the show — from “Will & Grace” exec producers David Kohan and Max Mutchnik, along with Jenji Kohan — last fall. Execs changed their mind and put “Becker” back in rotation, pushing “The Stones” to midseason.
Delay didn’t help the show, which starred Judith Light and Robert Klein.
Skein, from KoMut Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. TV drew so-so reviews. Ratings were worse, with “The Stones” losing a big chunk of its “King of Queens” lead-in.
CBS will either shelve the six remaining segs of “The Stones” or burn them off this summer.
Mutchnik and Kohan are still awaiting word on the fate of their sophomore NBC laffer “Good Morning Miami.” It’s been missing from the NBC lineup for months and is not expected to return.
