HOLLYWOOD — Disney has inked a multiyear, multigenre free TV agreement with Channel Four Finland (Nelonen) for the broadcast of movies, series, animation and telepics.
Deal was unveiled by Alison Homewood, VP for Disney arm Buena Vista Intl. TV, and Pirjo Airaksinen, senior veep of programming at Nelonen.
Viewers in Finland now will be able to watch the ABC drama series “Desperate Housewives” and sitcom “Less Than Perfect.”
Features “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” and “The Village” are included among the films in the deal.
Nelonen’s Disney-branded timeslot Disney Esittaa will bring “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians: The Series” and “Disney’s Doug” to Finnish viewers.
