Eriq La Salle is vying for a TV series return, with the former “ER” star serving as an exec producer via his Humble Journey Films shingle.
La Salle and Michael Steinberg have made a pilot script deal with CBS and Paramount for “Ice,” a drama that follows two Miami-based Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as they dismantle global crime rings.
Steinberg, who most recently wrote upcoming Screen Gems pic “The Cave,” is penning the pilot. Humble Journey senior veep Terri Lubaroff will produce.
La Salle will not appear on camera if the pilot goes to series.
He starred in and produced the indie film “Inside Out,” which is in post-production. He also directed the indie “Crazy as Hell.”
Humble Journey most recently produced the ABC telepic “Mind Prey” and Castle Rock pic “The Salton Sea.”
