Caucus tunes in kudos

Sweeney, Levin, others also feted

Daily Variety columnist Army Archerd received a standing ovation at Friday’s annual gala thrown by the Caucus for Television Producers, Writers & Directors, which feted his 50-year career with the journalism award. Publisher Charles C. Koones, who presented the award to Archerd, noted that he had written more than 10,000 columns for the paper, to which stunned wife Selma said, “Oh, my God.”

Evening’s other honorees included ABC Cable Networks Group topper Anne Sweeney, WB Network’s Jordan Levin, writer-producer-director Lionel Chetwynd, director-producer Stan Lathan and reality producer Vin DiBona.
