AMSTERDAM — Scandinavia’s Modern Times Group has appointed Hasse Breitholtz exec VP, replacing the ankling Kinna Bellander.
Breitholtz, whose duties will include group strategic development and day-to-day management of Modern Studios’ content production, sales and distribution business, will take his new slot in the next few weeks.
No specific date was named for the transfer of power, but he will report to MTG chief exec-prexy Hans-Holger Albrecht.
Breitholtz also has been appointed chairman of TV3, MTG’s main terrestrial broadcast net, and its spinoff channel ZTV.
Bellander, who has been with MTG since 1991, is leaving to pursue other interests, according to an MTG statement.
Breitholtz’s experience is largely on the music side and includes work for EMI in Sweden and Sonet Grammofon, as well as BMG. He served as chairman of BMG’s operations in the U.K. and Ireland until leaving in 2003 to join Jambarine, a provider of music-messaging applications and digital downloads.
