Bravo orders ‘TV Revolution’

Skein to examine groundbreaking tube moments

Bravo has ordered production on the five-part series “TV Revolution” highlighting groundbreaking moments on television. Episodes cover the evolution of homosexuality, roles of women and minorities, and the depiction of sex and violence. Cabler will roll out the series May 23 with back-to-back episodes airing on subsequent nights. Tiger Aspect will produce in association with Bravo.

Shows are “Out of the Closet” with commentary from Aaron Spelling, B.D. Wong, “Will & Grace” co-creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star Ted Allen, Paris Barclay, Darren Star and “Queer As Folk” exec producers Ron Cowen and Dan Lipman; “Maids, Babes & Mothers” with Calista Flockhart, Lauren Graham, Norman Lear, Mary Tyler Moore and “Murphy Brown” creator Diane English; “Sex in the Box” with “Nip/Tuck” creator Ryan Murphy, Barbara Eden and Suzanne Somers; “Black & White & Living Color” with Rob Reiner, Freddy Rodriguez and “Roots” star LeVar Burton; and “Body Count” with Steven Bochco, Dennis Franz, Jimmy Smits, Michael Chiklis and Joss Whedon.
