One of the nation’s largest theater chains, AMC Entertainment, said Tuesday revenue last quarter rose 5.7% to $462 million. Losses widened to $12.4 million from $5.1 million.
Cash flow nudged up $4 million to $62 million for the three months ended Sept. 30.
Kansas City, Mo.-based AMC announced in July plans to sell itself for $2 billion to Marquee Holdings — a vehicle including investors JPMorgan Partners and certain affiliates of Apollo Management. Deal is expected to in AMC’s fiscal third quarter.
AMC owns 230 theaters with 3,584 screens in the U.S. and Canada, Europe and Asia.
