Spanish-lingo tunes into Connecticut

Simulcast Latino Mix extends reach

MIAMI — Spanish-lingo radio net Univision Radio bowed at noon Jan. 9 on Long Island, New York, with the renaming of WLIR 92.7 FM to WZAA 92.7FM.

WZAA is now simulcasting the Latino Mix format currently broadcast on WCAA-105.9FM. WZAA 92.7 FM will include the best of salsa, merengue, baladas, batchata, rock en espanol, reggaton, Spanish pop and Anglo pop.

With the addition of this new frequency, Latino Mix can now be heard in Long Island and Connecticut as well as in New York, Univision radio said.
