‘La Cage’ locks in a cast

Prod'n to open Dec. 9 at Marquis Theater

The cast of the Broadway revival of “La Cage Aux Folles” has been set.

As has been reported, Gary Beach will star as Albin opposite Daniel Davis as Georges in the musical comedy set in a drag nightclub, with a score by Jerry Herman and book by Harvey Fierstein.

Beach won a Tony recently for his perf as director Roger DeBris in “The Producers,” and Davis is appearing on Broadway in “The Frogs.”

Also featured in the cast are Gavin Creel (“Thoroughly Modern Millie”) as Albin’s son; Angela Gaylor will play the son’s fiancee.

The revival is directed by Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Jerry Mitchell. A Nederlander and Clear Channel production, it will open Dec. 9 at the Marquis Theater.
