Terry Kinney will direct Anna Paquin, Kieran Culkin and Tim Hopper in “After Ashley” at the Vineyard Theater.
Gina Gionfriddo’s black comedy looks at the media exploitation of one family’s tragedy. The play has been much touted since its preem earlier this year at the Humana Festival in Louisville, Ky. It will open in February.
B’way to West End
Brad Oscar will replace Nathan Lane as Max Bialystock in the West End production of “The Producers,” which opened in London on Nov. 9.
Oscar will leave the Broadway production of the Mel Brooks tuner Dec. 12. Oscar’s first perf in London will be Jan. 10. Lane will begin shooting the movie version of the musical in February.
Richard Kind will take over for Oscar in Gotham on Dec. 21. Understudy John Treacy Egan will play Bialystock in the interim.
Alan Ruck will join Kind on Jan. 11. Ruck will replace Hunter Foster in the role of Leo Bloom.
