Road grosses

The road joined Broadway in getting a huge boost during Week 24 (Nov. 8-14), as grosses jumped 19.9% to $14,285,502.

Granted, there were three more shows on the boards. Disney’s “On the Record” kicked off with $416,609 in Cleveland. “Jesus Christ Superstar” ($493,199) and “Big River” ($310,095) returned from hiatus.

In its first full week at the Ahmanson, “Caroline, or Change” earned $313,019, a bit below its average week while on Broadway ($376,386). For the second straight week, “Evita” and “White Christmas” did not report figures.
