NEW YORK — Road grosses took a 10.1% dive during Week 22 (Oct. 25-31), falling to $10,820,751, mainly because one company of “The Producers” was on hiatus. Also, “Hairspray” plunged $522,826 to $492,159 in moving from Costa Mesa, Calif., to Tucson, Ariz.

“Scrooge,” starring Richard Chamberlain, began its tour with $291,917. “The Graduate” began its second season on tour with Morgan Fairchild in the lead role, pulling in $169,241 in four perfs.

“On Golden Pond,” starring James Earl Jones, finished its short run at the Dupont Theater in Wilmington, Del., with a $264,701 take.
