Documentary producer Ari Daniel Pinchot, whose latest effort, “Paper Clips,” rolls out today , is launching Crystal City Entertainment, a film production and finance company.
Co-founded by Stuart Avi Savitsky and Libby Richman, Crystal City has brought on board Rock Ridge Ventures’ Adam Lehman and the Film Sales Co.’s Andrew Herwitz as advisors.
The banner is being funded privately, and has a first-look pact in place with the Johnson Group, which co-produced “Clips” with Miramax Films in association with Ergo Entertainment.
Crystal City will aim to fully finance live action and animated films budgeted up to $10 million. The unit will seek co-production opportunities for more costly pics.
Pinchot’s previous credits include “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg.” “Clips” is being rolled out independently by the One Clip at a Time indie banner.
