Helmer Jon Sherman is in final negotiations to direct “Wild Child” for Working Title Films.
Pic, penned by Lucy Dahl, is a teen comedy about a Malibu wild child sent to a British boarding school to curb her wayward ways.
Dahl is the daughter of author Roald Dahl. She sold the spec to Working Title last summer.
Pic is being overseen at Working Title by its U.S. president, Liza Chasin, and VP Daniel Pipski.
“Child” is expected to start shooting early next year in London and Los Angeles.
Sherman previously directed the romantic comedy “I’m With Lucy” starring Monica Potter and Julie Christie, which opened the 2002 Deauville Film Festival.
