NEW YORK — The Entertainment Technology Alliance’s Todd Brockman is launching the Intl. Film Festival Summit, Tuesday and Wednesday,as a forum for fest brass to meet with corporate marketing execs and local government reps.
Reps from more than 50 film fests are signed on to attend, including contingencies from South by Southwest, AFI Fest, Seattle, Vancouver, Hamptons, Woodstock and Starz! Denver.
Event will take place at the Hudson Hotel in Manhattan and aims to spark dialogue about the current state of the fest world.
“As festival organizers, we’re all in this together and we can learn so much from each other,” said South by Southwest producer Matt Dentler, “yet we rarely get a chance to meet, due to the busy constraints of our job. Now, we have an official rendezvous point to share, learn, and engage for the future.”
Topics tackled will include programming and technology, sponsorship and impact on local communities.
