Musicvideo helmer Roel Reine has come aboard to direct high-concept thriller “The Duelist,” produced by Hyde Park Entertainment, Jan de Bont’s Blue Tulip Prods. and Epsilon Motion Pictures.

Pic, penned by Dan Dworkin & Jay Beattie, will be produced by de Bont, Shelly Clippard, Rick Lashbrook and Darby Parker. Hyde Park’s Ashok Amritraj and Jon Jashni will also produce.

Hyde Park and Epsilon are financing pic, which was brought to Blue Tulip by manager-producers Lashbrook and Parker.

Pic, part of Epsilon/Blue Tulip’s production pact, is expected to start shooting this fall in the U.K. and Ireland and has not yet been cast.

Tale centers on a Wall Street analyst who joins a powerful modern-day dueling society. When darker elements of the organization surface, he must fight for his family’s survival.

Also under the Epsilon/Blue Tulip pact is historical epic “Nikolas,” being penned by Michael Hirst (“Elizabeth”) and directed by De Bont.
