Guy Pearce will star in El Camino Pictures’ “First Snow,” with Syndicate Films handling international sales.
Story concerns a man who falls into a psychological tailspin when a psychic predicts his death.
Mark Fergus will direct from a script he wrote with Hawk Ostby. El Camino and Syndicate principal Bob Yari will produce with Tom Lassally (“Stay”), Robyn Meisinger (“Twisted”) and Sean Furst and Bryan Furst (“The Cooler”).
Pearce most recently starred in Jean-Jacques Annaud’s “Two Brothers.” He is currently shooting “The Proposition” opposite Emily Watson for Autonomous Films.
El Camino productions include “Love Song for Bobby Long,” starring John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson, which Lions Gate Films will distribute in December. El Camino also produced “Haven,” starring Orlando Bloom and Bill Paxton, which bowed at the Toronto Film Festival.
DreamWorks’ Go Fish and Newmarket Films will jointly release El Camino’s “Chumscrubber” next year.
