Nickelodeon Movies has promoted Damon Ross and Ramsey Ann Naito to VP slots, where both will oversee day-to-day development and feature production and report to senior VP Julia Pistor.

Ross, who has been with Nick for a decade, will continue his duties in acquisition and development of lit projects. During his tenure, he has optioned “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events,” slated for release Dec. 17; “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” with Mark Waters attached to direct; “Duck for President”; “Stargirl”; “Angus, Thongs & Full-Frontal Snogging”; and “Sector 7.”

Naito came to Nick in 1999 after working on “South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut” as unit production manager and currently works on day-to-day production and development. She was involved in “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” “Rugrats in Paris,” “The Wild Thornberrys Movie” and “Rugrats Gone Wild”; she’s working on the November release of “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie,” “Widow’s Broom” and “The Barnyard.”

Nick also has promoted Michael Zermeno to manager of movies marketing. He manages the activities between Nickelodeon New York, Nickelodeon Movies/Hollywood and Paramount in support of marketing efforts, oversees the flow of marketing materials and will report to Eddie Hill, VP marketing.
